For many years now I have had a keen interest in photography, following in my father's footsteps.  My father owned a radio shop in the 1930's so I learnt a great deal from him before I had any formal training.  It is also from him that I inherited an interest in the creative side of photography as he was an accomplished artist, having two of his paintings published as limited edition prints.

I began my training with The Plessey Electronics Company and completed an apprenticeship course with them.  Over the years I have carried out extensive work on electronic equipment, including both hardware and software design for control systems for special purpose production machines and computer aided test stations. This often entails work with PC based computer software.

More recently I have been involved in setting up servicing and repairing video and television equipment of all types.

All this experience in the field of electronics, working with computers, video and photography qualifies me to fulfill, to a high professional standard, the specific tasks carried out at slides2disk.

The formal training in a large company has taught me that customer satisfaction is a top priority.  I work on the premise that if a customer is pleased with the service I supply they will spread the word rapidly,  which is often better than the advertising media.
